復健科常見門診疾病
復健科是幹嘛的？復健科專科醫師到底在看甚麼病？診療哪些範圍？患者有哪些不舒服的症狀就要來復健科看病？雖然復健科在台灣已有40年的歷史了，但還是有為數不少的民眾有以上的共同問題，那就是不知道復健科到底是幹嗎用的？其實顧名思義最簡單的說法就是恢復健康，希望經由復健科專科醫師鍾佩珍的專業回答能幫民眾們一解以上的疑惑。
復健醫學在美國早在民國36年便被正式認定為一醫療專業，而台灣的復健醫學也早在民國47年便由台大醫院首先創設。台大醫院復健部於民國57年才開始訓練培養復健科專科醫師，雖然住院醫師的養成不易，但至目前為止擁有完整的復健醫學訓練背景的專科醫師已有五百多位了。復健科與內、外其他科等等一樣是一個獨立部門，所以患者可以直接求診復健科專科醫師。

復健科的診療範圍包含任何因神經、肌肉、骨骼、關節、肌腱、韌帶引起的疼痛或不適。
- 神經肌肉系統病變：如腕隧道症候群，手麻，手無力，顏面神經麻痺，腦中風（包括腦出血、腦血管阻塞、動靜脈畸形），頭部外傷，脊椎損傷，腦炎，腦瘤等後遺症。
- 骨骼關節疾病：長期勞動姿勢不正確、常常需提取重物引起的頸部、腰部或膝關節的退化關節炎，坐骨神經痛，骨折後的肌肉無力、關節孿縮，痛風關節炎，脊柱側彎、人工關節置換術後、其它關節疾病及其後遺症等。
- 軟組織傷害：肌肉韌帶位傷、扭傷、肌腱炎、五十肩、網球肘、媽媽手，電腦族、文書族或需長時間維持某一姿勢引起的頸部上背部肌膜炎，愛爬山、愛走路、愛慢跑引起的足底肌膜炎、先天性斜頸等。
